Trinity
Art Studio
Covenant
Sanctuary Studio is located in Trinity Covenant Church.
It is a build up and take down studio used once per week
on Mondays between the hours of 11 am and 9 pm. The
artists work at banquet tables with the appropriate
movable lighting.
The studio
storage closet contains many artistic mediums from
polymer clay, glass, vintage and plastic beads with
jewelry findings, paint & brushes for acrylic decorative
and painting on canvas; yarn, crochet and knitting
needles; calico fabrics for quilting, mosaic tiles,
grout, and many more supplies and equipment for
practically any craft or fine art you desire to create.
Books, magazines and instructional booklets are also
available for inspiration.
You are
welcome to bring your own supplies and although
donations are not required, we will gladly
receive any type of donation you may wish to give to the
studio for community use. Please request a gift letter
for tax purposes.
Drop
in or Spend the Day
We begin our day at 11am in the kitchen with a
continental brunch after which we begin working on
individual projects. Jackie Locantore our resident
artist is always available for instruction, questions
and collaboration for your chosen project. You may need
some advice on where to start. Feel free to ask Jackie
or Helen for help or anyone for that matter!
At 1pm we break for a short spiritual reflection using
the book of common prayer led by Spiritual Director,
Helen Stone. At 1:30 a hot lunch is served, banquet or
family style.
The mid day session closes around 4pm and between the hours of 4 and 6 the
studio remains open, but interaction with other artists
is at a minimum as it is break time for Helen and
Jackie. The evening session begins at 6pm and runs until
9pm at which time the studio is packed away for the
week.
